Spring stardust..

The last few days I felt rather uninspired and that's why I didn't post anything new! Fortunately spring came along, my winter job is coming to an end, which means that the weather is sunny most of the time. So, it's the flower time of the year, which I enjoy the most!

Today I went downtown and I bought some yarn, threads, a book and some flowers! I am cross stitching this flower -which looks really small and simple, but it's not!- for my grandmother, I'm reading Lolita and I'm about to finish knitting my jumper before I start knitting my scarf!Soon enough you'll get to see all the knitted creations at the renovated Petit Tricot blogspot. Me and my mother really want to give this whole thing a try, so we'd really appreciate it, if you could stop by and drop a line or two! Also, for inspirational reasons, Petit Tricot got a tumblr blog!

What have you been up to lately?!

 I'll be back soon!

Around the corner..

After Belgrade I haven't done much, to be honest! My daily routine has been calm, but enough productive, I must say! - I crocheted a baby blanket and I tried my first amigurumi. I'm reading my books, getting ready for my exams and I'm craving for a pair of quad rollers for my name day, which is about to come, and for a teeny tiny tattoo! Photobucket Photobucket Currently, I am reading Pure, by Andrew Miller. I dare say it's not fascinating, despite a bunch of praising reviews mentioned in the book!I decided read the book till the end, and then you can read my review in Goodreads! (If you have an account in Goodreads, you can add me here) Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket And these are my creations!I must say I'm very proud of myself, because I managed to finish this blanket and I didn't leave the project right in the middle (for procrastination is my middle name)! I will be back soon, hopefully with a more inspiring post! :) Have fun! Bisous, Photobucket

Chapter XXVIII

Photobucket

Photobucket

And the Crooked Man heard her dreams, because that was where he wandered. His place was the land of the imagination, the world were stories began. The stories where always looking for a way to be told, to be brought to life through books and reading. That was how they crossed over from their world into ours. But with them came the Crooked Man, prowling between worlds, looking for stories of his own to create, hunting for children who dreamed bad dreams, who were jealous and angry and proud. And he made kings and queens of them, cursing them with a kind of power, even if the real power lay always in his hands. And in return they betrayed the objects of their jealousy to him, and he took them into his lair deep beneath the castle...

My cup of tea!

The past week I've been busy either sewing, or stitching, or reading my books!!I will participate at a christmas bazaar, so I'm getting prepared!!Plus, I'm helping my mom with her knitting blog, which you'll be able to see pretty soon enough, I promise! :)
Meanwhile, I'm spending time with my brother's DSLR! Also, yesterday my brother came back from London and brought me four beautiful hardcover books from Camden - I adore the fact that they have a scent like old!!!

The tiny little minox that you can see in my photos was (and still is) my mom's!I discovered it in my brother's drawers, changed the battery ,put a film in it and I am experimenting! But I really don't know what the result will be!!

I forgot to mention that I am taking history of art classes and I am so so SO very excited!!I've already added a few books in my wish-book-list that have to do with the subject!! - nerd!

That's all for now, I'll be back with more interesting stuff! ;)

Hello?

Hello! There is still someone here!! :) Although I made no posts lately! But I do have plenty of reasons to explain you why!

Before that, checkout the new Lomography camera La Sardina!

Oh I am so greedy when it comes to cameras! But I think I should stop here!I already own a digital compact one, a Diana, my dad's SLR and my latest one is the Instax (with which I had to fight and spent 20 pictures capturing NOTHING because there was a problem with the mechanism that elevates the photo! Now I have to deal with the flash - wildcat!)!But now I am glad to announce that I'll be able to use my brother's NIKON D5000, WITH his permission!! =) Although I am a Canon lover, I have no other choise!!Plus, we're planning to buy some extra lenses!!

Yesterday I went with my cousin to the museum of photography - there was a really interesting exhibition for the 3rd biennale!Afterwards we drank tea in the museum watching the port and after that we took some pictures, which you'll get to see next week!My tiny little compact couldn't capture exactly what I wanted, but this one is just a small taste of the wonderful view :)

Other than that I am crafty enough, I have plenty of ideas, but currently I am knitting a jumper for myself, baking brownies and reading Jane Austen and Agatha Christie, despite the fact that I have my exams now!

Also I made something sweet for my sweet friend who turned 24 on Thursday! It was a last minute thing that had to be nice and delicious at the same time! It's actually a sandwich of two mini macarons with mascarpone cream in the middle!Yummie!!

Des contes de fée!
