à Versailles..

I devoted a whole day of my trip to go to Versailles! The last time I went there was the summer of 1994, so that makes 18 years, in other words a long long time ago! It's not far away from Paris, the small town is magnificent, but of course the Palace is the very centre of attention! This time I also visited the Petit Trianon, Marie-Antoinette's palace, the Temple of Love, the Belvedere and the little village of her Majesty, which is called Le Hameau de la Reine.

Dusk.The Versailles Palace.

I loved it and you should really visit it! The gardens are wonderful and from the main palace to the Trianon and the village, you'll see nature at its best! If only I could enter all those sealed rooms, corridors and drawers...

P.S. I am sorry, but unfortunately I couldn't remember precisely the names of some rooms or little houses in the village, so I decided not to write anything at all, under some photos. You will see them soon in my flickr account .

See you,

Mon séjour à Paris..

Photobucket

It's sure that there's something in Paris, not easy to describe. It's a city, that can easily let you down, but it's charming in its very own way!I was lucky enough to spend there my last two weeks and get the best birthday present from my brothers, a dslr Canon, that was a pretty good company during these weeks and helped me capture a lot of things and moments! After two weeks, countless footsteps and glances, two airplanes, one heavy suitcase and tons of photos, here I am!

This one is far away from Paris. It's in a small town in central France, where my grandmother lives. The forest was beautiful, full of trees and fallen leaves..

Père-Lachaise cemetery. The beautiful, yet devastated statues were everywhere and I hardly managed to choose one.

The Shakespear & Co. bookshop, near Notre-Dame. The most amazing bookstore I have ever been to!It's a pity they were so strict with photos, and that's the only one I have. The piano music inside, the girl who sang, the little corridors, the shelves up to the ceiling full of books and the mint typewriter, were altogether the incarnation of nostalgia..!
